About

Akash was named Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer when he joined Wesco in November 2020.  He heads the Information Technology and Digital organizations and is spearheading Wesco’s digital transformation journey.  Akash previously served as CIO and CDO at McDermott, and had other roles at Baker Hughes, GE Energy, and GE Healthcare.

Akash holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Pune, India, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.  He is a qualified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Master Lean Leader.

Akash is an active community leader involved in providing leadership across various global philanthropic organizations in India and US.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Pune, India, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
