Maximizing Value from Market Intelligence Investments
Sourcing and category management teams need outside market knowledge to support their stakeholders in making fact based decisions. In fact, research has shown high performing teams have a higher investment in market intelligence (MI). However, many sourcing organizations under-invest or under-utilize their memberships with research and MI organizations. Memberships go unused, research goes unread, and budgets get auto-renewed with incumbent providers. The best way to spend your MI budget is different for every organization and how you get value from that investment depends on both the MI provider and your own team.
In this session we’ll lay out the fundamentals sourcing teams and leaders should know to get the most value for their investment. You'll get advice on selecting the right portfolio of MI providers and the internal change management to capture value from those memberships.
