Ways to Earn CEHs to Maintain Your Supply Management Certification

Earning a supply management credential is an important step in advancing in your career. Since it’s a dynamic credential, ISM requires you to stay current with changes in the supply management field through continuous learning. ISM offers a variety of ways to earn CEHs, many of which are low-cost or even free.

Becoming an ISM member is a fantastic way to stay engaged in your profession. It is also the most efficient and cost-effective path to recertification. As an ISM member, you’ll earn three CEHs for every year as an active ISM member during your current certification period. Additionally, you’ll have other opportunities to take advantage of ISM educational events to earn CEHs.

ISM Members Can Attend FREE Monthly Webinars to Earn CEHs

ISM members get invited to exclusive, hot-topic webinars as a part of their membership. Webinars have ranged from Coronavirus Risk Planning to the Economic Impact of Supplier Diversity. It's a great format to help stay current and keep up with trends and best practices.

Courses

ISM offers a number of in-person, guided study and self-study courses that you can take to gain valuable skills and knowledge and earn CEHs toward recertification.

Webinars

Attend ISM webinars to earn 1 CEH per webinar – up to 12 CEHs are available each year – through ISM Member-Only webinars included with ISM membership.

Chapter Meetings

Attend ISM chapter meetings – up to 8 meetings and 8 CEHs available per year.

Personal Career Development

Participate on a committee, volunteer to speak or be a part of our ISM Report on Business® survey panel and earn CEHs toward recertification.

Conferences

Attend or present at an ISM conference or seminar, or another industry-related conference or seminar (CEHs are granted per class hour of attendance).

Certification Item Writing

Write an Article

Share your knowledge and earn from 1 to 7 CEHs by writing for the INSIDE e-newsletter or Inside Supply Management® magazine. Learn more about becoming an ISM author.

Membership

With ISM membership you earn 3 CEHs annually. In addition, if you are a member of an ISM Chapter, you can earn up to 4 CEHs annually for attending chapter meetings and/or events. That's 7 potential CEHs each year from membership alone.
