The “State of the Procurement Profession” survey – one of the largest worldwide empirical studies of professionals in purchasing and supply management – has been conducted on a yearly basis since 2018. This session will provide a detailed summary of the most current iteration of the survey including insights on current strategic postures, operating models, practices, and performance roadblocks in procurement organizations. The existing time-series data makes it possible to reveal and extrapolate trends over time. A special emphasis is on how companies tackle the pressing challenges of digital transformation, risk and resilience, inflation, and sustainability.
