Procurement’s AI Governance Playbook: Managing AI Across your Supply Base

Sponsored by: Arkestro
4/29/2024, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Procurement teams are being challenged to manage more spend with fewer people. C-Suites are now demanding that procurement teams offer better digital experiences for internal stakeholders and suppliers, all while managing risks, generating year-over-year cost reductions, and ensuring continuity of supply. Does this sound familiar?

Enter AI. Since your suppliers are likely to adopt AI before you do, this workshop specifically looks at risks and opportunities associated with the adoption of AI by your supply base.

Together, we'll walk through a practical roadmapping and governance policy exercise to navigate these risks while also identifying tangible opportunities for improving your team's productivity.

Our workshop will leverage the Sheridan Levels of Autonomy framework to guide you through the process of drafting a governance policy, a supplier checklist and a supply chain maturity assessment to anticipate the impact of AI across your supply base over the next 18 months. Leave with practical tools to proactively manage the impact of AI, identify opportunities, guard against risks and effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business

4/30/2024, 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM

Spend Analysis is the process of collecting, cleansing, classifying and analyzing expenditure data from all sources within the organization (i.e. purchasing card, eProcurement systems, etc.). This valuable information can be used to make strategic decisions by first providing answers to such questions as: what was bought; when was it bought; where was it purchased; how many suppliers were used and how much was spent with each; how much was paid for the item. This session we will show step-by-step with examples and case studies of strategic purchasing and supplier relationship management (SRM) initiatives with an intelligent spend analytics system. Smart eProcurement guided by insights from aggregate spend data, benchmarks, trends, dashboards, and Pareto analysis can provide an incredible result for procurement processes and well as optimized SRM.

Maximizing Value from Market Intelligence Investments

4/30/2024, 4:00 PM - 4:50 PM

Sourcing and category management teams need outside market knowledge to support their stakeholders in making fact based decisions. In fact, research has shown high performing teams have a higher investment in market intelligence (MI). However, many sourcing organizations under-invest or under-utilize their memberships with research and MI organizations. Memberships go unused, research goes unread, and budgets get auto-renewed with incumbent providers. The best way to spend your MI budget is different for every organization and how you get value from that investment depends on both the MI provider and your own team.

In this session we’ll lay out the fundamentals sourcing teams and leaders should know to get the most value for their investment. You'll get advice on selecting the right portfolio of MI providers and the internal change management to capture value from those memberships.

Easy Continuous Confidential Data for Supply Chain Statistics

5/1/2024, 11:00 AM - 11:50 AM

New hardware based “confidential computing” allows a company to send encrypted data to a cloud computer enclave where it is processed ensuring that no human or program has seen it. Once in the enclave that is invisible to the rest of the computer, the data is decrypted and summed and deleted, enforced by a computational contract that the data provider agrees to. Once in the enclave the data can be matched to other “private unseen” data to map detailed aggregated supply-chains by detailed geography and product. This scales massively and relatively inexpensively on the cloud infrastructure, potentially providing nightly low burden, low-cost mappings of supply-chain activity and bottlenecks. In this session, learn about confidential computing and the new possibilities of data aggregation in the supply chain space.
