Definition: One of the five ISM® Report On Business® subindexes that directly factor into the Manufacturing PMI® and one of four that calculate the Services PMI®, the Supplier Deliveries Index has been closely watched since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Supplier Deliveries is the only ISM® Report On Business® index that is inversed; a reading of above 50 percent indicates slower deliveries, which is typical as the economy improves and customer demand increases.
