Callie Federer, PhD, is Principal and Director of Data Science at DAT Freight & Analytics based in Philadelphia. She turns AI capabilities into products that actually get used. Her areas of focus and research include Data Science Leadership, Generative AI, Machine Learning, AI Product Leadership, and AI Policy, Governance, and Regulation. She was co-author of an article in the September 2025 ISM Inside Supply Management titled "Avoiding the Pitfalls in the AI Jungle". Callie earned her PhD at the University of Denver and is currently working on an Executive MBA at Washington University in St Louis.
