Jimmy Anklesaria is the founder of ANKLESARIA, a global Total Cost Solutions managed services and SaaS firm. He is the recipient of the Institute for Supply Management’s 2022 Shipman Award, ISM’s highest honor recognizing exceptional contributions to the advancement of supply management and the profession.
Jimmy is the author of Supply Chain Cost Management: The AIM & DRIVE® Process for Achieving Extraordinary Results and co-author of Zero-Base Pricing: Achieving World-Class Competitiveness Through Reduced All-In-Cost. He holds the international service mark for the AIM & DRIVE® process and has published extensively in leading purchasing and financial journals in the United States and abroad.
With more than three decades of experience in procurement and supply chain leadership, Jimmy is widely recognized as a leading authority on cost management. He has advised and supported procurement transformations at numerous Fortune 500 organizations, delivering cost savings measured in the billions through practical, results-driven approaches.
Jimmy has taught graduate, undergraduate, and executive-level courses in strategic cost management, finance, and investments since 1985. His academic appointments include the University of San Diego, where he was named Outstanding Professor of the Year, as well as guest lecturing roles at institutions including the University of Chicago, Michigan State University, the University of Southern California, and Arizona State University.
Most recently, Jimmy taught supply chain cost management at the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, where he founded the Institute of Supply Excellence and Innovation. He has also established multiple endowed chairs, funds, and fellowships supporting supply chain education and innovation at UC San Diego. Jimmy is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a law degree and an MBA.
