Foundations of the Total Cost of Ownership
This hands-on course will discuss the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for purchased goods. In this course, you will explore the following costs:
· Acquisition Cost—The cost to acquire goods, which includes more than the purchase price
· Ownership Cost— The cost associated with owning an item once it has been purchased
· Post-Ownership Cost—Includes disposal cost
Additionally, you will learn how to calculate TCO using Excel.

Presenters
Mr. John Russo, Associate Director of the Center for Excellence in Supply Chain Management at Duquesne University's Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. He has been an adjunct professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management since 2018. At Duquesne, he played a key role in implementing SAP ERP software within the School of Business and developing the SAP certificate program for students. Prior to joining Duquesne, he spent 42 years at the Elliot Company in a variety of leadership roles across manufacturing, purchasing, and information systems.
