Presenters

André holds a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Law with a specialization in Corporate Law from the University of San Diego. André’s expertise includes country of origin determinations, USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) evaluations and claims, international trade agreements, and the filing of customs protests in the United States. He also advises on matters involving the global supply chain and international logistics. With over nine years of legal experience, André has developed a strong foundation in both Mexican and U.S. legal systems. He is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing him to effectively assist and represent both Mexican and American companies in cross-border legal and trade matters. Yennise Sandez, LCB, CCS, is the Director of Operations at Zisser, where she plays a crucial role in managing and improving compliance and supply chain security programs globally. Her expertise includes developing detailed supply chain security profiles and liaising with customs authorities. Yennise excels in areas such as HTS classification, ISA registrations, reviewing and preparing certificates of origin, and managing protests with U.S. Customs. In terms of her professional background, Yennise has a solid track record in import and export, having worked with a U.S. customs broker specializing in Asian imports. During this time, she collaborated closely with suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and wholesale customers. Yennise holds a bachelor's degree in international business from the University of San Diego. In 2015, she obtained her license as a Customs Broker and, in 2019, she became certified as a customs specialist. She is also an active member of the San Diego Customs Brokers Association, the International Association of Compliance Professionals, and the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce.
