ISM-Southeast Michigan Signature Event- Elevate: A

An Evening to Inspire is ISM-Southeast Michigan's premier end-of-year event, bringing together professionals from across the procurement, sourcing, and supply chain community for a night of recognition, connection, and insight.  Held at Emagine Royal Oak, this signature event will feature two distinguished keynote speakers:

In addition to executive insights, the evening will debut three new awards recognizing excellence in our field: The ISM-SEM Dave Nelson Procurement Leader of the Year Award, the ISM-SEM Rising Star Award, and the ISM-SEM Pillar of Excellence Award.

Presenters

Jeffrey (Jeff) Morrison was appointed Executive Director, GPSC Electrical Systems and Advanced Product Purchasing on April 1, 2018. In this position, Jeff oversees GM's global spend related to vehicle electrical components and systems, including electrification, infotainment, connectivity and autonomous. He also has the distinction of driving the creation of successful commercial frameworks and contracts to enable innovation across GM's whole vehicle including the enablement of the autonomous vehicle program. Prior to his current assignment, Jeff was Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Development, responsible for leading efforts to transform GM's purchasing policies and improve supplier relationships. Jeff has over 20 years of experience working throughout the global automotive industry and started his career at GM in 2006 as a Procurement Manager for Transmission Components. During his time at GM, Jeff has led global procurement and logistics organizations in the US and Germany. Including, Director of Chassis Structures and Fuel Systems, Director of North American Material Logistics, Director of GM's Powertrain Procurement organization in Germany and Director of GM's European Logistics organization. Prior to joining GM, Jeff spent over 10 years working across the automotive industry in various engineering, commercial and consulting roles. He started his career in 1996 at Chrysler Corporation. He also spent time at Federal-Mogul, a leading Tier 1 powertrain supplier, and Ricardo Strategic Consulting. He has led strategic projects for global OEM's, Tier 1's and financial investors on a wide-range of technical and business issues. Jeff holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan - Ross School of Business and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn
