Meet the Future leaders of the Profession!
Established in 2004, the R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program honors the legacy in memory of R. Gene Richter, who led global supply organizations at Black & Decker, Hewlett‑Packard, and IBM.
In 2003, a distinguished group of industry and academic leaders, including Professor Robert Monczka, R. David Nelson, Theresa Metty, Jimmy Anklesaria, Bob Calderoni, Dennie Norman, Linda Obrec, and Nancy Richter – came together to establish the program.
Today, the program has awarded scholarships to more than 150 students representing 26 universities across the United States and Canada, earning national recognition for its impact and commitment to developing future leaders in the profession.
The Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®) and the R. Gene and Nancy D. Richter Foundation are proud to jointly support the growth and professional development of students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to the supply management profession.
