Currently serving as the Vice President of Procurement - NA and Global Chemicals at Avery Dennison, Collins brings a wealth of real-world, executive-level insight to the classroom.
His instructional approach is rooted in a "practitioner-first" philosophy, having successfully transformed global procurement functions into high-performance units that serve as trusted business advisors. As the President of the ISM National Capital Area Chapter, Collins is deeply committed to advancing the profession through mentorship and education.
His deep technical expertise spans a wide array of complex disciplines, including Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, Total Cost of Ownership (Should-Cost Modeling), Complex Negotiations and Supplier Development, and Risk Management and Financial Analysis. Collins’ diverse industry background, including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, and Electronics, allows him to provide students with a multifaceted perspective on global trade and sourcing.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Finance and Supply Chain Management from Howard University. In addition to his CPSM® credential, he is a Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, blending rigorous engineering methodology with strategic business acumen.
