Shelley Stewart Case Competition Winners Announced

This morning at ISM Diversity 2016, the winner of the inaugural Shelley Stewart Case Competition was announced. The competition — held at ISM®’s annual Diversity conference — pits teams of top supply management college students against each other as they demonstrate analytical and reasoning skills in a professional setting, much like they will face in the business world.

The universities with their respective tame names are listed below.

First place ($4,000): Howard University, “Knitted Solutions”

Second place ($3,000): Southern University and A&M College, “Special Joint Team International”

Third place ($2,500): Clark Atlanta University, “ProVision Consultants”

Fourth Place ($1,500): Tennessee State University, “W2 Logistics”

Fifth place ($1,000): North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, “Strategic Consultants”

This year’s Shelley Stewart Case Competition judges included: Tiffany Hickerson, director for A.T. Kearney, Inc.; Deidra Merriwether, vice president, CFO The Americas for W.W. Grainger, Inc.; Patricia Pyle, manager, supplier diversity for Salt River Project; Estrella Cramer, supplier diversity director for UPS; and Carrie Ericson, vice president for A.T. Kearney.
