The R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program was established in memory of supply management innovator and leader R. Gene Richter, who led the supply organizations at Black & Decker Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, and International Business Machines (IBM).
ISM® and the Richter Foundation are proud to support the growth and development of students in the supply management profession through the program. Richter Scholar winners are part of a very elite and talented group of students and future leaders, with more than 1,000 applicants and 140 winners in 21 years.
The future leaders of supply management who receive this distinction are fast-tracked into the profession through a program of tuition assistance, executive mentoring, junior mentoring, and networking.
