Supply Chain Management is a Hot Profession — and Major

Recently, my family and I were at a local restaurant, a plate of calamari in front of us. We realized the calamari didn’t taste fresh — and that we were tasting the flavor of “supply chain.” In Rhode Island, where we live, most locally caught squid are frozen and sent to China for processing, then shipped back.
