In 2019, DC Water started on a bold move to consolidate Capital Projects procurement (Typically procured at DC water Engineering & Construction) under the Procurement Office. This presentation briefly discusses the private sector supply management best practices implemented, the challenges (pandemic and otherwise) addressed, intended and unintended results, and earning a seat at the Capital Investment Planning and Budgeting table.
