COVID-19 has changed the way in which firms think about what constitutes a disruption, and perhaps more importantly, how firms respond to disruptions. The real question is: after a disruption, how does the supply chain network of the firm change in order to ensure optimal performance? The firm’s ability to shift their supply chain networks is called supply chain plasticity, and its impacts on performance are critical.
